COLD rain and hail slowed sport during the week but it began to pick up last weekend with good catches on all pools.

The Top Pool is fishing well with small carp, perch, roach and tench being the main species to maggot, corn and meat.

Double figure weights will again be possible as mid week temperatures rise.

There was a slow start on the Bottom Pool. But chub, crucians and perch showing later on.

Both House Pools are still fishing well with cold water not affecting sport.

Best baits are worm, caster, corn, maggot.

The best areas on House One are pegs 14 to 16 and pegs across the bridge. Carp to 3lb with specimen to 8 possible from most pegs.

The Canal slowed a little due to increased boat traffic and rain water.

Tunnel Barn will be running the usual junior matches during the school holidays. Dates to be arranged shortly.
