THE world's most famous locomotive is to return to Worcester tomorrow in a glorious puff of steam.
The Flying Scotsman is due to arrive at Shrub Hill station with up to 500 visitors on board.
The locomotive, which was the first steam train to hit 100mph in 1934, has been back on the rails following a three-year, £1m restoration.
"It will be a real treat for everyone, not just train enthusiasts, to be able to see such an historic locomotive," said city council tourism and marketing manager Andrea Watkins.
Sporting its distinctive London and North Eastern Railways livery and hauling 1960s style Pullman coaches, the Scotsman is due to spend the afternoon in Worcester before returning to Hastings.
It is due to arrive at Shrub Hill at 1.55pm and leave at 4.20pm
