ONCE again, Mr and Mrs Andrew Compton will be opening their very attractive garden in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Fund at their home Ambleside, Ashleworth Road, Corse, on Saturday, July 14 from 11am until 6pm.
There will be the usual stalls and with bric-a-brac and bring & buy.
Teas with delicious scones will be served and the entrance is just £1.
You may remember that a few weeks ago I reported that Bert Moffat of Corse was hoping to fulfil an ambition he has had for some years to climb the four highest mountains in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland, they are Scafell Pike, Snowdon, Ben Nevis and Carrauntoohil. Now, although not yet retired, he feels he has more time to do it.
All the money he receives from sponsorship is being given to Corse Church Funds.
Bert has achieved his first goal recently by climbing Snowdon and everything went very smoothly with good weather.
If you would like to sponsor Bert ring Jill Bates on 840015.
