ALCESTRIANS took to the streets at the weekend to pay tribute to and celebrate a bygone era.
A Roman Market took place in the town on Sunday, with an abundance of stalls and townsfolk in fancy dress.
There were also a number of competitions for young and old to take part in, some wine to indulge in and music to listen to.
