LAST week, The Guardian published lists of readers' ratings of all sorts of travel providers and travel destinations.
One of the questions related to readers "favourite British City". The printed results listed the top 29, in which Worcester does not appear.
In the list are places that Worcester ought to better. This is not a question of promotion or PR; the readers are voting on their experience and we plainly fail to excite them.
We will never do so until we exploit the River Severn really imaginatively. Using its city-side environs largely as a necklace of car parks is unbelievably negative; but it still seems to be policy, as shown by the intent to use the cattle market site so.
