A man was airlifted to hospital with burns injuries after he poured petrol on to a bonfire and was engulfed in flames.
An air ambulance crew took the man to Birmingham's Selly Oak Hospital for treatment to his arms, legs and face after the petrol splashed up from the bonfire he had lit at his home in Bewdley's Crundalls Lane, at 11.30am on Sunday.
A spokesman for Kidderminster Fire Station, which sent a crew to the scene, warned the public to only ever pour suitable substances, and never petrol, on to fires at home.
