AS YOU get older - 66 rapidly going on 67 - you tend to long for your roots, ie Goodison Park, Liverpool.
But after living for more than 25 years in Studley - and my wife suffers badly from MS, being confined to a wheelchair - I took stock of what I have.
Pool Road doctors have provided all that can be expected of them and more, backed up by a very efficient, hard-working and cheerful front office staff.
The Alexandra Hospital has dealt with both our needs quickly and efficiently - the waiting list didn't appear to be very long to us. I have had a by-pass and epilepsy treated.
District nurses (who still prefer to be called that) who have provided a lot of help, back-up and, more importantly, cheering me up when I have been down.
Nightingales Home Care for providing, among their duties, tender loving care, which goes a long way to making my wife's life a lot more bearable.
Finally, to the people of Studley for being so friendly - this is why now my roots are in Studley.
Also should be included is the Redditch Everton Supporters' Club, which has made it possible for me to travel to Everton's home games.
