TENNIS: New pairing Stuart Attwood and Kelly von Stauffenberg won an all-home club final in the open mixed doubles tournament at Bewdley.
They brushed aside strong pairs from Halesowen, Stourport and Wall Heath to reach the finals where they beat Mike and Alison Rosoman.
There were 30 pairs participating on the day with good performances too from the pair of Adam Lange and Penny Marchant along with John Phillips and Di Owen.
The well-established Ladies Doubles Open was contested by 22 couples, from as far away as Fladbury.
It was won by the strong home club duo, Marchant and Mandy Sylvester, who beat Diane Jones and Jane Stanley, of Cutnall Green, in the final.
Marchant and Sylvester's semi-final was a tight contest but in the end they were victorious over another Bewdley pair, Lesley Reeve Parker and Julia Tilt.
Jones and Stanley beat yet another Bewdley duo, Lyn Lewis and Candy Lake, in their semi-final.
The plate competition also went to Bewdley, won by Fiona Parsons and Carrie Irlam.
Bewdley players have also recorded success elsewhere in the county with Jo Morrison and Reeve Parker winning at Cutnall Green.
Jean Keeble and Anne Allen reached the finals at Ombersley.
