KIDDERMINSTER Golf Club's Patrick Smith is celebrating his first professional tournament victory.
Smith, of Cookley, posted a 68 at Wyre Forest - believed to be a professional record at the course - to win the Worcestershire Assistants Medal by three shots.
The 22-year-old is assistant pro to Nick Underwood at Kidderminster. Smith, a former county player and ex-club champion at the town club, turned professional last September.
He heads to Droitwich next week for another competition.
