GOLF: Val Blount and Arthur Widdett were successful in Ombersley Golf Club's senior mixed competition.
Judy Baer and George Steadman were second in the contest at the Crossway Green club.
Ombersley's men defeated Worcester club Tolladine 4-3 in a match, while the ladies beat Habberley 2-1.
Samantha's Trophy results: Olive Devitt 41 points, Audrey Cook, Hazel Brookes, Pauline Baylis 39.
