STAFF at charity Homestart are celebrating after founder Margaret Harrison was awarded a CBE.
The life president, received the honour for her work with children and families, started in Leicester 28 years ago.
Redditch's Homestart, which helps families in difficulty, has a number of things to offer.
A parenting course is available along with a women's group, both lasting for seven weeks.
It also holds two prospective volunteer courses each year and wants to hear from people wanting to give something back to the community.
Once a year, children, families and volunteers are taken to Weston-Super-Mare and the organisation is keen to raise money for the trip which gives children an opportunity they would not normally get.
For more details about volunteering or taking part in a course, call Bev Thompson on 62819.
