SHATTERFORD LAKES
The recent hot spell has resulted in some hard trout fishing but a Shatterford Special was successful on the Masters Lake with a sinking line.
One angler caught 14 on the Masters on a cats whisker and the best fish of the week off the Wyre Dell was taken with a buzzer and weighed 5.25lb.
On the coarse lakes, four carp to 21lb and three to 22lb were caught on chum mixer, while one angler caught a 21lb catfish and seven carp to 18 from the Erics Lake with meat.
Worms and luncheonmeat outwitted five carp to 18.75lb off the Stuarts Lake.
The hot weather has provoked the carp into a surface-feeding frenzy.

Elmbridge, Heron Pool: Tim Jones extended his lead in the aggregate cup with his fourth win of the season.
Jones' catch of nearly all carp taken on maggot and corn totalled 31lb 5oz.
Keith Clarke took the biggest fish, a 9lb 3oz common.
Others: Clarke 16-1, Robert Clarke 14-2, Alan Hubble 12-5, John Harbord 11-8, Warren Jennings 11-7.
Furnace Mill, Mucky Meadow Pool: Matt Bourne returned to winning ways with 33lb 13oz, while runner-up Hubble continued his recent run.
Jennings took the largest fish, a 9lb 6oz common.
