A SIXTH-wicket partnership of 61 between Richard Bennett and Martin Oliver took Colwall through to the national rounds of the Wadworth 6X Village Knockout Cup with a five-wicket win at Chaddesley Corbett.
Chaddesley, meeting Colwall for the third successive year in the regional final, were soon reduced to 49-4 after being put into bat.
But a fifth wicket stand of 88 between George Baylis (53) and Masefield (32) put them back in the game, only for their last six wickets to then tumble for 32 to leave them 169 all out.
Skipper Dave Sutton took 3-38 and Stuart Bailey 3-37, while Steve Ferguson had four dismissals behind the stumps.
Colwall made steady progress with Barney Bamford making 33 and Ferguson 17, but Bennett (36no) and Oliver (31no) really turned the tide with excellent boundary shots and quick running between the stumps, seeing them through in the penultimate over. Chambers (2-21) was Chaddesley's top bowler.
Colwall, beaten in the national semi-finals in 1991, will travel to Northampton-shire champions Isham in the last 32 on July 8.
Their victory capped an excellent weekend, following a two-wicket success over Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Division One leaders Frocester at Stowe Lane.
Sutton and Bailey were again the bowling heroes with 4-38 and 3-35 respectively as Frocester were bowled out for 198, Australian Derek Tate hitting 41.
Dave Powell then helped lead Colwall home with a fine 78, supported well by Tom Wolfendale (28) and a belligerent unbeaten 35 from Will Hards, Tate taking 4-39.
