REDDITCH captain Guy Muspratt has a selection headache for the visit of Fordhouses on Saturday as his cup kings translated their knockout success into league form.

The Birmingham Two West minnows shocked First Division Stourbridge in the League Knockout to earn a cup quarter-final at Premier outfit Wolverhampton.

And boosted by the cup scalp, Redditch turned over St Georges at the weekend to climb towards mid-table and safety.

"We don't know how many teams are going down," said Muspratt. "Everyone seems to be in the dark about it so we want to pick up as many points as possible."

Chris Gibson and Jeff Russell have returned to the side and Nev Mason is pressing for a recall after an eleventh hour withdrawal at the weekend.

Brian Powell is set to make way after failing to transfer his good form for the seconds into the first eleven but Muspratt is still left with 12 players battling for 11 shirts on Saturday (1pm start).

Australian Jason Morgan is on hot form and followed his unbeaten 154 on Saturday with another century, four wickets and two catches against Evesham in a Sunday League match.

"Because of our cup success, players are coming out of the woodwork and it's a nice selection dilemma to have," said the Bromsgrove Road club skipper Muspratt.

"The side we fielded against Stourbridge was probably stronger than that which played on Saturday but there is no danger of the cup becoming more important. The league has to be our priority."

Redditch had ten balls and six wickets to spare in their cup triumph.

Stourbridge posted 118-6 off their 16 eight-ball overs thanks to tight bowling from Muspratt (2-16), John Lostitch (2-31) and Jeff Russell (1-39) and good fielding.

In reply, solid batting by Marcus Busfield (32), Chris Gibson (26) and an unbeaten 23 from Brian Powell ensured victory.

Against St Georges, Muspratt took 5-84 as the home side made 254-7.

In reply, Redditch lost five wickets for 94 before Morgan stormed to his superb 154. Spencer Cox added 47 not out in an unbroken stand of 164.

Morgan's 115 and 4-16 helped Redditch to a 139-run victory at Evesham on Sunday, the visitors reaching 256-8 from their 45 overs.

n The seconds won by 61 runs at home to St Georges on Saturday, Dave Apperley top scoring with 28 while Nev Mason took 5-51.

Abdul Hashid's 51 clinched Sunday's six-wicket win against Evesham.

n A maiden century from Ashley Freeman helped the thirds to a 160-run win at Kenilworth.
