CONCERN has been raised that Studley's new beat bobby will not be full time.
Police have had difficulties filling the vacancy for a second beat officer for the village, so a compromise part time post will be created instead.
But parish councillors said they were worried the issue of another full time officer for the village will not be pursued.
It was revealed at the monthly parish council meeting last week that a second officer had withdrawn their application for the post.
From the end of the summer Pc Alan Forsythe will be helping Pc Kirsti Jackson who is Studley's current full time beat bobby.
The parish council is now writing to Alcester Police to query the situation.
Parish clerk Dot Mitchell said: "Whilst we applaud the help for Kirsti, we still need another full time community beat officer.
"Studley is an awfully big village to police."
Insp Sarah Goodall, of Alcester police, said there were no short term plans to install a second full time officer in the village.
Insp Goodall said: "We're always looking to increase staff.
"Pc Forsythe will be covering other areas as well but he knows Studley very well."
She added: "It's more about the support you can give a community beat officer rather than just how many beat officers you have in the area."
