SUN-LOVERS in Bromsgrove will be entertained when a popular annual street theatre comes to town this summer.
Fun, games and prizes galore will make the street theatre bigger and better than usual thanks to a new partnership between Bromsgrove District Council and the toy department at well-established High Street shop Baylis.
From August, Street Theatre 2001 will be held on the Recreation Ground every Wednesday with a fun-filled programme of must-sees.
These include headline acts, circus skills workshops, face and henna painting and music.
Fun starts at 10am each week with performances at 10.30am then hourly until the final one at 2.30pm.
Baylis will be giving away a range of games, puzzles and jigsaws to the street theatre for visitors to take away as keepsakes and will be offering a ten per cent discount to shoppers.
The council's cabinet member responsible for recreation, amenities and tourism Cllr Terri Matthews (Con, Furlongs) said: "It is very exciting.
"Bromsgrove's street theatre grows from strength to strength each year and is enjoyed by hundreds of residents and visitors alike."
