FIRST year success has become a reality for a business services company in Droitwich Spa.

Reality provides Internet services, customer care and logistics support for a variety of firms.

It has eight operations across the West Midlands and employs 400 workers at a Berry Hill Industrial Estate warehouse.

Reality has closed its first year's trading with a turnover of £476m and profits of £5.1m.

Chief executive Martin Trees said: "We have seen a positive growth in our first year, securing work with more than 20 companies and tackling a range of activities so diverse that no one other UK company could handle them.

"These activities include the delivery of millions of parcels, developing entire online retail systems, providing call centre services and offering enormous print and mail capability.

"It has also been a year of extreme challenges for a new business, involving the continuation of deliveries through floods, fuel protests and the foot and mouth disease."

Nationwide, the firm employs 20,000 people.

It is responsible for delivering 100 million parcels, taking 40 million orders and handling 75 million customer contacts annually.
