ST Mary's RC School in Studley swept the board in a national competition thanks to the efforts of two 10 year olds.
Matthew Wilson was the overall winner of the BTA Studycards competition while Carys Rea won her category.
Matthew's national award-winning investigative project was inspired by the BTA Studycard about the newspaper industry, sponsored by News International plc and his project included correspondence and interviews with William Hague, John Maples MP, David O'Leary and Harry Kewell from Leeds United Football Club.
Carys' winning project was based on the "Making money through investment" studycard sponsored by Fidelity Investments.
Matthew not only won a category prize but he was then chosen by judges as the overall winner.
St Mary's was awarded £500 for each of its two category-winning projects as well as £1,000 for their national triumph.
Matthew will be awarded £250 and Carys £100 at a school assembly tomorrow which will be attended by Andrew Webster-Dunn, sales director of BTA Publications and representatives from News International and Fidelity Investments.
And as an additional reward for his hard work, William Hague wrote a letter expressing his delight at Matthew winning the competition and said he was very impressed with the youngsters "enthusiasm and interest".
