A BODY recovered from the sea at a North Wales beauty spot has been identified as that of a Bromsgrove pensioner.
Earlier this week North Wales police named her as 61-year-old Margaret Pittaway, of Edwin Court, Bromsgrove, after she was identified from fingerprints.
Lifeboat crews recovered her body from the sea on Saturday, June 9, after the police received a report to say a woman had fallen from headland at Great Orme in Llandudno at around 10pm.
Officers had to carry out fingerprint testing at her Bromsgrove home, after enquiries led them to the town, and matched the results to tests already taken in a bid to identify her.
North Wales central coroner John Hughes has opened and adjourned an inquest for a date to be fixed.
A North Wales police spokesman said she had died from injuries sustained during the fall.
He added there were no suspicious circumstances and they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.
