HERE'S the next installment of award-winners from this year's ceremony at the Spadesbourne Suite in April.
Your No.1 paper will feature all the winners from this prestigious event.
This week we profile the winners of the administration award, coaching award and over-21 female award.
ADMINISTRATION AWARD:
Colin Mortiboys.
CROWN green bowling has a big following in the Midlands - thanks in no small part to Colin Mortiboys.
All sports need an energetic person to provide organisation and leadership. Colin is that man.
It all started when Colin's dad set up the Big Crown Bowling League. Over the years this has become a league with about 25 teams.
His father died and Colin took on the responsibility 17 years ago. He has been the general secretary for ten years.
The Harwood Park resident still bowls for his club in Stoke Prior but he found the time to set up a website for the Big Crown Green Bowling League and in his spare time he writes match reports and newsletters for the league.
To top that, Colin - who is also a referee in the Bromsgrove Advertiser/Messenger District Football League - has been elected as the general chairman of the Warwickshire and Worcestershire coaching scheme for crown bowling.
COACHING AWARD: Cliff Hughes
THE recipient of this award joined Fairfield Villa from Stoke Works in 1969 as a player and he scored numerous goals over the next 12 seasons.
He took over as manager of Fairfield in 1991 after they had experienced little success in previous years.
Gradually he improved the team and guided them into two Smedley Crooke Cup finals and two Worcestershire County Junior Cup finals.
In the Midland Football Combination he took them to promotion from Division Two to Division One in 1996-97, only to see them relegated because of ground restrictions.
In the 1998-99 season Villa were promoted back to Division One where this season they finished a creditable tenth.
Cliff is a quiet person who deals with problems easily and is a widely respected manager.
OVER-21 FEMALE AWARD: Laura O'Meara
LAURA comes from a sporting background - her dad, Shaun, is a Bromsgrove Rovers legend and now turns out for Fairfield Villa.
The South Bromsgrove High School pupil already has a host of sporting achievements under her belt.
She is a member of the under-16 district netball team which won the district tournament and she captains the school in netball, as well as playing for Redditch.
Laura was in the under-15 netball team which came runners-up in the Hereford and Worcester Youth Games.
She has represented her school in the national basketball championships, finishing second.
Laura has represented the district in the shot putt, as well as being discus champion at that level.
But that's not all. The 15-year-old plays football for Bromsgrove Rovers Ladies and plays football, tennis and rounders for the school.
Last, but not least, Laura is now a member of the under-17 pace fitness squad.
