REDDITCH police are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault which took place at Church Green on Friday.
A 20-year-old man was walking through the town centre when he was struck about the head several times by another man.
The assault took place at about 6pm and the offender is described as white and in his 20s.
Pc Neil Lippitt, of Redditch police, said: "It was a serious assault which took place in a busy area.
"I feel certain there will be someone who will have useful information."
