FIREFIGHTERS from Alcester and Studley spent two and a half hours tackling a blaze at a barn in Alcester.
The fire started at a derelict chicken farm in Allimore Lane at about 8.20pm on Thursday.
As the flames took hold of the building, thick black smoke was sent throughout the town and was visible for miles around.
It was finally put out just before 11pm.
