AN Alcester school has applied for a further grant from Warwickshire County Council's Seed Challenge Funding.
Alcester High School wants £30,000 to create a new playground as the existing one will be built over during a planned major building project.
This is the biggest grant applied for by an Alcester school and is added to the request for £13,333 which the school needs for improved dining facilities.
Schools can apply for the cash if they can contribute a certain percentage of money and the projects aim to raise academic standards or address health and safety issues.
