A WOMAN who lived in Alcester for 30 years was surrounded by family and friends as she celebrated her 100th birthday.
Florence Rone-Clarke, of Throckmorton Road, was born in South Wales before moving to Birmingham, where she lived until 1970. She then moved to Alcester where she has lived since.
Mrs Rone-Clarke, who lost her husband Charles Henry four years ago, has one son, Colin, married to Rita.
She has two grandchildren, Martin and Sally, and four great-grandchildren.
She was a tailoress most of her life and only stopped doing the alterations to her own clothes a year ago.
She spent her birthday at Four Acres Home in Studley where Mrs Rone-Clarke attends for respite care.
