PRESIDENT Jennie Cox welcomed members on June 13 to the new venue at the Grafton Three Villages Hall.

Thirty enthusiastic members attended at Upton Snodsbury Village Hall and it may be possible to organise classes in the future.
Miriam Tilt and Gill Blackband attended the greetings cards classes at WI House on June 11 and results of their art were displayed in the hall. Classes were suggested for later in the year.
Rosemary Roberts attended the IGM at Cardiff and reported on the outcome of the voting for the resolutions regarding the abuse of the elderly and health of school age children.
The summer outing to Lightwood Cheese Farmhouse at Cotheridge will be on August 22. Orders for the 2002 calendars will be taken next month.
Mr Mills, a police constable now retired, gave a talk on the lighter side of policing.
At the start of his career in the 1950s "pounding the beat", sometimes on bicycle, plus directing traffic and dealing with fights outside pubs armed only with a truncheon and whistle!
Members enjoyed hearing about the humorous incidents that befell him when he first joined the police and Miriam Tilt gave the vote of thanks.
After an excellent supper, the flower arrangement was won by Delice Bayliss and the raffle prizes by Doreen Baker and Margaret Talbot.
The next meeting takes place on July 11 at Grafton Village Hall and includes a demonstration of microwave cooking.
