A MOTHER who lost two daughters in a road accident, then had her house burgled, says she has been boosted by people's kindness.
Eunice Spry's two daughters, Judith and Charlotte, were killed in a road accident on their way back from a family holiday near Weston-super-Mare last September.
The family had been renovating a house in Eckington, but when Mrs Spry returned to it several months later, she found that yobs had smashed or stolen all of a 30-strong collection of dolls belonging to her daughter, Victoria, and her son Caleb's toy Jeep.
Coming on the back of the accident, the raid devastated Mrs Spry, but now Pershore policeman Charlie Cavendish has stepped in to give a helping hand to her and her four surviving children - Victoria, Caleb, Harriet and Seth.
He arranged for the West Mercia Police Community Fund to give the family £100, a Surrey-based toy firm has donated a doll for Victoria and a musical guitar for Caleb and the West Midland Safari Park has offered six tickets for a family day out. Mrs Spry said afterwards: "I can't believe how caring people have been."
