A WOMAN has been grabbed from behind as she walked through Worcester city centre in the early hours.
The seemingly motiveless attack happened as the 31-year-old victim walked along St Mary's Street, Arboretum, just after midnight on Tuesday, June 26.
After a brief struggle the woman, who suffered minor injuries, broke away and her attacker ran off towards Sansome Walk.
The man is described as white, in his early to mid-20s, around 5ft 10in tall, of medium build with short, dark hair. He was wearing a striped, short-sleeved polo shirt and pale, but not white, trousers.
Investigating officer Det Con Theresa Myatt wants anyone who saw what happened to contact her.
"I'm particularly keen to hear from the driver of a car seen in Sansome Walk just before the attack," she said.
Anyone with information about the attack, which happened at 12.10am, should call 01905 723888 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
