THE Save Tramway Walk Campaign is not a debating society.
In your report (Stratford Journal, June 21) a spokesman for Minitrams Systems was reported as complaining of not being invited to speak to our public meeting held on June 17.
The 300 or more Stratford residents who attended the meeting at the town end of the Tramway Walk were united in seeking means to persuade Stratford District Council not to grant planning permission for this ill-conceived proposal which, if implemented, would ruin an outstanding Stratford heritage feature.
Providing a platform for what we are totally opposed to and is supported by well over a thousand signatures to our petition, is not on our agenda.
RALPH MADDERN, Shelley Road, Stratford.
