WORCESTERSHIRE Football Association's first ever Female Festival proved a real hit last Saturday.
Thirty-three teams from all areas of the county enjoyed the lovely weather and played some great football in the under-10, 12, 14, 16 and senior age groups.
Teams represented established girls clubs in the county such as Ferndale but others were brought together for the day such as the Napoli Angels from Droitwich. School sides from Blackminster and Pershore High also took part.
The festival gave the opportunity to all girls and women in the county to take part, some being county players and others playing for the first time. Information regarding existing playing opportunities was passed to all competitors.
