BEFORE all those who support Dr Taylor get too hyped up about their "fantastic success" it should be remembered, if one does the maths, that Dr Taylor now represents us at Westminster due to only 39 per cent of the local electorate.
In other words, 61 per cent of the local eligible voters did NOT vote for him. Hardly a "fantastic" result given those figures.
The above figures simply reflect the norm in politics, and will only be corrected when we have a two-horse race.
Funny though that the lack of medical assets in the area resulted in the further loss of a highly trained doctor, albeit a retired one.
I have no political axe to grind, I simply wait to see what happens.
