STAFF at Woodlands Riding Stables at Wood Stanway are looking forward to their first show since the foot and mouth crisis.
The horse jumps have been newly painted in readiness for a combined training competition this Sunday.
Competitors can enter four classes in jumping and dressage, with smart rosettes and medals up for grabs. Riding school boss Emma Shakespeare said: "The show is informal to encourage all riders of any age and ability to take part.
"We are so pleased to be putting on a show now that the bridleways have been re-opened and hope lots of people come along and join us.
"Normally we start the season at Easter time, but because of restrictions we have had to wait until now," she added.
The entry date for dressage has now passed, but riders can enter for show jumping on the day for a £5 fee.
Classes start at 9.30am, starting with the lowest jumps at 2ft. For further details contact the riding school on 01386 584404.
