DUMBLETON eased into the last 32 of the Wadworth 6X National Village Knockout after Sunday's seven-wicket win at Haresfield.
The hosts were always on the back foot despite rattling up a quickfire 37-0 after making first use of the wicket.
Dumbleton's excellent work in the field was rewarded with wickets for a quartet of bowlers as Haresfield were bowled out for 150 with two overs remaining.
Alec Edge and Peter Boorman both picked up three cheap wickets while Richard Simpson and Eddie Robinson chipped in with two victims apiece.
On a wicket that proved far from easy for the batsmen, Boorman (23) and Graham Piesse led the reply in solid fashion with the latter anchoring the rely with an unbeaten 62.
Robin Churchman hurried things along with a typically robust 36, while Jeremy Evans struck 22 as the Gloucestershire side booked a date at Oxford Downs on July 8.
