AFTER leading the tournament on the opening morning, Jeremy Robinson finished a disappointing tied 67 th at the Great North Open at Slaley Hall last weekend.
The Evesham golfer made a marvellous start last Thursday, reaching the turn in just 32 shots but the decline started after the turn and only a birdie at the last rescued a two under par score of 70.
A bogey at the second the next day got Friday off to a bad start but Robinson stuck at it to card a 73 and make another cut.
However, he failed to make any impact over the weekend and rounds of 75 and 74 left him £1500 better off but cursing his sudden loss of form.
"I shot 63 at Sunningdale in a pro-Am last Monday but my game just went downhill after a good start," he recalled.
"I hung on at the end for a 73 on Friday and I just didn't play well at all the next two days."
Robinson flew over to Dublin on Monday where he shot a 70 at the K Club, a venue he might find himself visiting if he gets an invite to next week's Smurfit European Open.
