The drama section of the club, which meets every Sunday night at the village hall, was started three years ago when the senior citizens of the village were invited to a concert and tea. This was followed by a supper to a paying audience.
The following year a small profit was made, and a group in Oswestry invited the group to provide the entertainment at a supper concert in aid of the MacMillan Nurses.
This year to date the senior citizens' tea party concert and the supper concert have been held in the village hall, and a cheque for £800 has been presented to the Air Ambulance Service.
Another visit was made to Oswestry on June 1, to provide entertainment again in support of the Macmillan Nurses.
Other fund-raising organisations have approached the group, to provide entertainment for their chosen charity.
