NINE members met on the Pleasure Gardens for last Sunday's third outing of the new Summer League season.
In glorious sunshine, Rita Bennett ran out the winner for the first time with a net of 1.12.0. Chairman Hugh Blundstone (1.11.0) came a close second with secretary Nigel Howe (0.13.0) in third place.
Members are reminded that this weekend's match is at Forest Farm, Pinvin with the draw at 8am and fishing between 9am and 2pm.
Evening matches in the Thursday Summer League continue on the Pleasure Gardens, draw at 5.30pm, fishing between 6 and 9pm.
Nine members turned out last Thursday when Roy Thompson claimed first place with a weight of 1.6.0. Nigel Howe (0.8.0) was second and Ray Woods (0.6.0) third.
Evesham Jubilee AS
SIMON Milner netted seven bream on feeder tactics to win Sunday's Avon Shield Series match at Pensham with some ease.
With bream the quarry, the majority of members struggled for bites.

The Stillwater Series starts at Pittville Pool on Sunday, draw 7am at pool side.
Members who have not yet forwarded their subscriptions are asked to do so to G Mytton or J Davis as son as possible.
Tunnel Barn Farm
THE Top and Bottom Pools were both slow last weekend due to spawning activities.
The best baits on these pools meat, corn and floating baits.
Both House Pools are still fishing best with bags of around 60lb needed to frame on all matches. Best baits are meat, corn, worm and caster , expect fish from 6oz to 12lb.
All species are showing well with barbel now putting in an appearance.
The best pegs on House One are 14, 15, 16 on the wall, 33 on the island and 6 to 8 on the far side.
Best on House Two are 17 and 18, 21 to 26 and peg one. Peg 19 is worth a try when wind is westerly.

THE second round of the Journal Series saw Jon Bagulay take his first win with 2.3.0 of small fish from peg 50.
Second was Adam Green with 1.10.0, while Shaun Bennett claimed third spot with 1.0.0.
Andrew Beasley topped the intermediate with 4.1.0 followed by Luke Harrison (3.14.0 ) and Danny Blowers (1.7.0.)
