A ROCK and roll band will be playing in Kidderminster next week to boost a man's bid to do charitable work abroad.
Alan Wright has hired highly-rated three-piece group The Heartbeats to play at the Chainwire Social Club on Friday, July 6. He is hoping to raise the air fare for a trip to Romania in August.
Tickets to see the three-piece Bristol-based band at the Oldington club will cost £4.50.
Mr Wright is planning to travel to Siret for a week to help build a "halfway house" designed to take youngsters out of orphanages and give them skills designed to help them get jobs.
He can contacted for tickets on 07747 777321.
