MAY I, through your columns, take the opportunity to thank all the people of Bromsgrove who contributed towards the recent House to House and Flag Day collections held in the town, and apologise for any intrusion into their privacy.
St John Ambulance, like so many other organisations, rely entirely on public donations and once again the generosity of the Bromsgrove townsfolk has been tremendous, raising £1,080.32 and £702.00 respectively, much needed funds that will further the work of St John Ambulance in Bromsgrove.
New European regulations governing ambulances, which come into effect in January 2002, will place a huge financial burden on this organisation which will have to fund additional training for its members, upgrade items of equipment and in many cases replace vehicles within its fleet.
The money will start us on the road to achieving our goal.
Charles J Brown,
St J, Divisional Superintendent,
St John Ambulance,
Bromsgrove.
