THERE was a spring in the step of pupils at Honeybourne First School when they raised money for charity.
Every child at the school took part in a sponsored skip - Jump Rope For Heart - to raise cash for the British Heart Foundation.
PE teacher Barbara Langstone said that the activity, which took place all day on June 20, should raise about £600 for the charity, 25% of which the school can keep to put towards providing something for the children.
She said: "The children were brilliant. We had no complaints about tiredness and they all enjoyed it.
"It's encouraging them to bring back skipping into the school playground, which seems to be a forgotten pastime."
