LARGE crowds are expected at Stratford Racecourse tomorrow evening for the Inaugural Ladies Day when females are encouraged to dress up and dust off their hats for the start of the summer season.
The first of six National Hunt races starts at 6.50pm and prizes for the best dressed lady, best hat and most fashionable lady will be donated by Cotswold Collections, whose local store is in Bard's Walk.
Punters are encouraged to stay on after the racing for an evening of dinner and dancing from 9.30pm. Tickets are priced £25 in advance from the racecourse office. For more information ring 01789 267949.
There will be an extra meeting at the course on Sunday when the seven-race card from the Foot and Mouth affected Uttoxeter meeting will be transferred.
Racing starts at 2.20pm and free family entertainment will be provided to encourage the crowds.
