A GROUP of creative photographers from the Malvern area are exhibiting their work in the town for the first time since 1997.
Infinity Plus, formed in 1992, seeks to expand the boundaries of fine art photography through experimentation and a diversity of approaches.
Work by group members has been widely shown, including two recent exhibitions at the headquarters of the Royal Photographic Society in Bath. The exhibition in Malvern includes prints from each member and illustrates the wide diversity of approaches within the group.
Past work has encompassed many classical darkroom techniques such as toning, multiple exposure, sun printing, solarisation and gum printing, in both colour and monochrome. Sometimes hand-tinting is used to enhance an image.
More recently, members have been using digital imaging techniques to widen the scope for creative image production. Much of the work in the exhibition, although originating from photographic exposures, has been produced and printed using digital techniques.
Infinity Plus opens tomorrow (Saturday) at Malvern Library and runs until Saturday, July 21.
