EXTERNAL staff are to be employed by Malvern Hills District Council at a cost of up to £10,000.
The council needs to produce a statement for the government by the end of July about its approach to implementing electronic Government.
Because of the time limit, the council has agreed to employ outside help in order to produce it.
Coun Paul Cumming said the statement could help the council access Government grants in the future.
"So it would be money well spent," he said.
The Government is making £135 million available in 2002/2003 and £190 million the following year to help councils implement e-government.
The statement MHDC submits next month will be used by the Department of Environment, Transport and Regions to decide how money is allocated.
