NORMAL refuse collections are set to resume in most parts of the Malvern Hills district, after the lifting of restrictions imposed during the foot and mouth crisis.
During the crisis, restriction on access led to roadside collections being introduced in rural areas.
However, on Monday (July 2) refuse crews will once again be able to use lanes through farmland.
Paul Sobczyk, head of client services at Malvern Hills District Council, thanked customers for co-operating with the temporary arrangements.
"There have been few difficulties with the temporary change in service," he said. "Particularly when considering how rapidly the arrangements had to be put in place."
Parts of the district within 3km of an infected farm remain affected. Residents in Ripple, Bushley, Knightwick, Lulsley, Ankerdine and around Kempsey Common will all, for the time being, continue to have collections from the roadside.
