I AGREE with Paul Griffiths on voting with proportional representation. However, I fear that with the coming of postal votes for all who apply, the abuse of which we are already seeing, that to put the two together would generate a totally uncontrollable situation.
If government departments can't detect 21 million bogus National Insurance numbers then what chance would they have regarding a less frequent voting requirement?
But with the political shackles off, Charles Kennedy has at least started to impress on people that the Lib/Dems have something to offer.They are on longer the party that could only attack the Tories for political favours over PR from New Labour.
