MYSTERY and laughter are the main ingredients for the summer line-up of plays at the popular Wolverhampton Grand Theatre in July.
The line-up offers gripping thrillers and hilarious comedies in a programme designed to cater for all ages and tastes.
The shows start on Tuesday with the murder-mystery Suddenly at Home, the story of scheming-charmer Glenn Howard who decides to kill his wife and frame her former lover, all in the name of money.
But the smooth murderer finds he could have found his match when he decides to spend his new found wealth on an enigmatic woman who could have her own plans for the money.
The theme of mystery continues for the play Trap for a Lonely Man. The story follows a distraught husband whose wife goes missing while staying in an isolated chalet in the Alps.
However, his relief that she has been found is short-lived when the woman claiming to be his wife is a complete stranger who wants to destroy his life. The show runs between Tuesday, July 10, and Saturday, July 14.
The mood takes a turn for the Alan Ayckbourn comedy How The Other Half Loves - a story of three men, their wives and a host of social jealousies and frustrations.
The show, which is set around two dinner parties on two successive nights, runs between Tuesday, July 17, and Saturday, July 21.
The month is rounded off with the classic English thriller Home at Seven, the intriguing story of a man who goes missing for a day, only to find he is the likely culprit of a horrific murder.
