MALVERN Rangers held its presentation evening on Saturday, June 16 with a meal at the Three Horseshoes.
The award winners were as follows:-
Kelvin Williams Trophy - Simon Rea; Players Player of the Year - Mark White; Clubman of the Year - Brian Burge; Player of the Year - Chris Davis.
The club then held its AGM the following Wednesday, June 20 at the same venue and thanks were expressed to Graham and Gareth for their support financially and the hospitality shown over the last couple of seasons as with effect from next season Rangers will be sponsored by Willie Thorne Snooker Club.
The first fund raising event at the Club is a joint Race Night scheduled for Saturday, July 28.
The second pre-season fund raising event will be a sponsored walk on Sunday, August 12.
Chairman Clive Churchill resigned his position and was replaced by former chairman, Nigel Beats.
Brian Burge, Secretary and Treasurer and Roger Kitchener, Manager were re-elected.
Other members elected onto the committee were Lee Brookes, Chris Davis and Steve Hodges.
In preparation for their first ever season in the Banks's Brewery Division One South, it is proposed that training will take place on Tuesday evenings and Sunday mornings at Lower Howsell commencing Tuesday, July 3 at 7pm.
The new season starts on August 18 by which time work on the Council pitches, as promised, will have been concluded.
