A MALVERN rollerblader had to buy an entrance ticket from another competitor to take part in the Kidderminster National Street and Vert event and then raced off with first prize.
James Ralph, aged 17, of Lavender Walk took first place in the street event, raced in jam formation, which only allows six entrants from throughout the country.
James said: "I had to buy a ticket off someone else to take part and finished first, winning some protective clothing and free entrance to the new Kidderminster Skate Park for one month."
His next event is at the extreme sports weekend in Bath next month.
