I AM sorry for Janet Harvey with her spiders' bites.
It is newsworthy to be bitten by a spider, and she probably only became alarmed when the bites grew bigger.
No doubt the receptionist would not let her see the GP for a long time or even told her to go to A&E.
To say that A&E is becoming a drop-in centre for all sorts of people is 50 years out of date.
It is a fact as well that many patients feel they receive better treatment at A&E than they would with a GP.
MICHAEL STEWART,
Worcester.
