RECENTLY, a letter in You Say referred to various types of people to be seen in central Worcester.
The buskers interest me. Some are really good and an asset to the High Street.
Although I am just an old age pensioner, I always give something to the better performers.
Incidentally, I also perceived a young woman selling copies of The Big Issue.
Some of the time she seemed distressed and tearful. I wondered what story she might have to tell.
Perhaps she had to abandon a university course because of lack of money?
Or maybe she had once lived with, and looked after, elderly relatives or friends, before they had had to enter nursing or residential care.
Perhaps the old people have now passed on and the enforced sale of their house has been used to cover residential care charges, incurred in their declining days, leaving this young lady homeless? I wonder.

Worcester
