DONATIONS of more than £500 have already been made to the Meningitis Trust after a six-year-old Redditch girl died from the disease while on holiday in Devon.
Julie and Allan Senior, of Chedworth Close, Church Hill, have been moved by people's response to the death of their daughter, Danielle, to meningococcal meningitis on June 16.
Mrs Senior said: "We would really like to thank family, friends, neighbours, the funeral directors Huntleys and the school for the huge amount of support and help they have given us following the tragic death of our beautiful daughter Danielle."
The family asked for donations to be made to the Meningitis Trust and so far Mrs Senior said more than £500 has been raised by friends, neighbours and work colleagues.
Mrs Senior, who has a four-year-old son, Lewis, added: "We are taking it day by day. We get different feelings each day."
