THE Primrose Hospice and Cancer Help Centre has raised an impressive £12,500 from its Wear Yellow Week.
Staff at the centre were overjoyed with the success of the effort, which saw many organisations in and around Redditch pulling out all the stops to dig deep.
Redditch Leasehold Action Committee donated £3,294 and Redditch Mini Owners' Club gave £450 alone.
And last week, there was a good turnout at the Palace Theatre for the Summer Magic show, with all proceeds going to the good cause.
A craft fair was also held in the Kingfisher Centre.
Primrose fund-raising manager Jane Wardman said: "It's been a fantastic week and we are delighted so many people took part.
"We are very grateful to the many volunteers and supporters who have helped us and worked really hard to make this week a success.
"It's been a challenging time but we have had some fun along the way and at the end of the day, Wear Yellow Week will have made a difference to our patients and those who care for them either at home or at the centre."
As part of the week, many schoolchildren gave a donation in return for wearing something yellow.
The Primrose shop in Alcester Street also decorated its frontage in yellow and many other companies joined in the fun.
